NV: onwards and upwards

A Product Department has been created to propel new projects, design and innovation forward.

- PERFORMANCE -

“Using high-performance processes and meeting your expectations with the utmost precision”
– NV’s motto

As new projects multiply, particularly for large sail-, motor- and multi-hull boats, NVequipment’s ambition is to grow with its market and expand its expertise.

As the European market leader in original outdoor protection which has broken new ground in its profession for 40 years, our company has resolved to invest in R&D, and in 2016 we saw a great example of this in the form of virtual reality and digital services. Projects are becoming more and more complex in terms of design, and NV would like to mark a decisive turning point in its technical work by investing in cutting-edge technology and engineering.

- WELCOME -

Véronique Durand, working in our new Product Department since 16 January 2017.

Having established a long-standing career in luxury tailoring with the Zannier Group (with names such as Catimini and Kenzo), Véronique Durand won over the executive team with all the experience she has had in planning collections, launching new projects and leading development of product ranges. “We were looking for an experienced person from a different sector who would be capable of meeting our challenge,” says Pascal Cardi. “As the head of a luxury ready-to-wear style office responsible for everything from design proposals to sales, Véronique naturally made the link between tailoring and sailing, two worlds that share the same changing user behaviours and customer expectations."

The heart of Véronique’s role will be involving everybody in-house and outside in 3D design, styling and the virtual reality experience, to ensure everyone is as comfortable as possible. These positive transformations should quickly result in improved processes for constructors, retailers, specialist shops and NV. “As we move into the future, I’m determined to give my teams at NV, be they designers, constructors or distributors, a wider view of projects so that we can align design and user experience with cutting-edge technology. I want to ensure that every product is designed so that it cultivates the delight and comfort users feel with it,” explains Véronique.

“…Outdoor protection is the equipment you see most on boats, so much so that they get all the attention,” states Pascal.
