NV equipment and products put to the test

NV wanted to share this exceptional experience with this yachtsman by participating in the preparation of his Rustler 36 MATMUT.

Our design department has developed products perfectly adapted to this type of sailing, they are custom made with a strong focus on technical performance and durability rather than aesthetics: roof sprayhood, sprayhood enclosure, electrical panel cover and companionway enclosure. Jean-Luc Van Den Heede will soon be releasing a report on the equipment that he tested out in extreme conditions.

A humble victory

When you read his story it seems that the race went smoothly, without too many incidents, and any difficulties faced by the navigator are put into perspective.
To give a funny anecdote, Jean-Luc Van Den Heede confesses that during this long expedition he found time to read no less than 24 books!

Van Den Heede remains humble and modest in the face of his victory: “My departure date enabled me to benefit from relatively favourable weather conditions. I always remain very cautious and I didn't want to take any risks for this final attempt. My motivation to beat this record grew stronger with each of my previous failed attempts. We shouldn’t forget that this time luck was on my side! And that is not an insignificant factor! ”

More info: Jean-Luc is working towards the publication of his book and is currently preparing 2 films: “The first is a biography directed by Nicolas Reynaud and will most likely be diffused on France 3. The second was produced by Michel Devillers and will be shown during my conferences. ”

Congratulations again to Jean-Luc Den Heede, on this fantastic achievement and victory,
we are very proud to have been able to contribute to your experience,
even in the smallest way!
