This Wednesday 15th June, NV was visited by the SNSM association of Saint-Gilles-Croix-De-Vie with the executive committee accompanied by several members (in total 12 people).

The SNSM (Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer - French National Sea Rescue) is an association whose main mission is to rescue voluntarily and free of charge human lives in danger, at sea and along the coast. Its funding relies primarily on the generosity of public and private partners.
They have conducted 7833 rescue mission,  cared for 28,772 people and have 9030 volunteers.

The group visited our workshops on Wednesday 15th June. They were impressed by the autonomy of the operators and the know-how of the teams.

SNSM members found it remarkable that there was no leader and that everyone knew the importance and usefulness of their work for NV. Our digital screens raised some questions. The operators were happy to answer questions.
Initially, NV replaced the old winter canopy with a new awning for the RIB at the SNSM station in St-Gilles. Our friendship grew around common values such as respect for people and safety at sea
We have decided to commit ourselves to the association for a period of 3 years to foster a strong partnership between our two structures.
