NVequipment in the Cap Innovation finals
at Paris Nautic Show 2025

NVequipment was runner-up in the product innovation category in the Cap Innovation competition organized by the Fédération des Industries Nautiques and the Paris Nautic Show.

This year marks a return to the Parisian show after several years’ absence, and showcases solutions that will shape the boating world of tomorrow. The prize-giving was held on Thursday 27th November at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Le Bourget.

The Cap Innovation Competition shortlisted thirteen companies from the applications received, divided into three categories. For each one, two projects were put forward for the final. NVequipment was selected a finalist in the product innovation category, with TEMO, who eventually won with its TEMO 1000.

This selection places the 4-in-1 modular boat cover among the show’s most outstanding solutions, acclaimed by a jury of specialists.

The 4-in-1 modular system, premiered at the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle, was designed in 2017 by Catherine Cardi and developed by the company’s in-house R&D teams (editor’s note: eighteen people work in the manufacturing site in the Vendée). The product was trialled for three years by Jean-Yves Chevalier, in real conditions and over several thousand miles on an Oceanis, confirming its durability, modularity and practicality over time. Production will start in NVequipment’s workshops in 2026. The model can be seen until Sunday in Hall 4 stand B22. The response from the public, boat owners and the trade press, confirms wide interest in lightweight, adaptable boat covers designed for real-world use, be it sailing, at anchor or overwintering.

NVequipment is also presenting its T-Top Sportline 2026 at the Paris Nautic Show. Its design, inspired by American lines and ideal for use in all weather conditions, attracted a great deal of interest at trade shows. This new product is part of the company’s continued focus on protection, structural integrity and reliability at sea.

The recognition at the Cap Innovation competition confirms NVequipment’s industrial relevance. With the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label, a member of the French Fab and ISO 9001 certified, the company champions full French manufacturing: design, prototyping, textile assembly, structures and finishing. Materials such as steel, canvas and closure systems are sourced from French manufacturers renowned for their reliability and traceability. The Sunbrella Plus fabrics used in the modular protection are marine-grade and come from recycled sources. This basic requirement underpins all of NV’s products, which are shipped to more than forty boatyards worldwide, and sold to boat owners wishing to renovate, personalize or improve their on-board protection.

NVequipment would like to congratulate TEMO, the winner in the product innovation category with its TEMO 1000, and salutes the quality of the work led by its director, Alexandre Seux.

Market Context and Strategic Vision

The market is moving towards better thermal comfort, modularity, silence on-board and structural lightness. Protective boat covers are no longer just add-ons: they are an integral part of the boat’s architecture. Users are looking for solutions that are easy to handle, modular and long-lasting.

Boat manufacturers expect ready-to-install equipment that is compatible with their rapid industrial output. With its integrated engineering and in-house production, NVequipment occupies a central position in this value chain. Test protocols cover a wide range of climates and navigation profiles to guarantee performance in the real world and not just in the laboratory.

By choosing recycled fabrics, repairable components, long lifespans and demanding French manufacturing, NVequipment is also contributing to more responsible boating. Its ISO 9001 certification, membership of the French Fab and Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label are proof of this.
